December 20, 2011 — New York, N.Y. McPheters & Company announced today the iMonitor™ list of Best European Magazine & Newspaper Apps. The company’s iMonitor service is currently providing detailed evaluation and global tracking of about 3700 apps that are related to magazines and newspapers or which fall into the “other news” category.
According to McPheters & Company CEO, Rebecca McPheters, “Europe has historically been a source of significant innovation in app development and accounts for a growing proportion of apps in the iMonitor database. The apps on this list fall with the top 1% of the more than 4000 apps we have evaluated since the iPad’s introduction. The ratings are based upon a combination of app design, functionality, and use of a wide range of rich media features that not only enhance the user experience, but expand upon the service offered by traditional print publications.”
